The Bodyaches

My body is aching... from the 1.5km swim in the sea and the 10km run along ECP.

I wonder whether it was due to the kicks and punches I got during the sea swim. The whole demarcated lane was really crowded. If i swam freestyle (which i intended to), I couldn't see where I was going and could even end up at somewhere further due to the current. And freestyle exposesd my sides to the numerousl kicking by people who swam breaststroke. So ended up, I swam breaststroke as well. Took nearly 45 mins to jostle through the other swimmers and came out of the water. Usual timing to do that is 30 mins... cui ah...

THe run was relatively easier. But I couldn't really feel my legs after the swim. Perhaps that's a good thing. Didn't run exceptionally fast too. Guess it's around 50 mins for the 10 km.

Overall good experience and I shall train even harder next year. Just hope i don't get a very bad flu just 2 weeks before the race.

AFter the race, went home, shower, change up and to the KTV... 20 bucks for 6 hrs of KTV, 20 bucks for steamboat dinner and 10 bucks for some famous desert at Liang Seah. Woke up at 6, left home at 7... came home at 11, left home at 12... reached home at 1am... Shagged... and I shall just nua at home later.... but still have to go punggol to collect my race pack for next sun run... why did i sign up in the first place? but if i didn't sign up, my friends won't even join... okay la.. it's for their good and i shall join too to support them....

On leave next tues for my brother's passing out parade from BMT. SO proud of him. Ippt gold during BMT. Not easy man... running 9.20 min for 2.4 km. Used to laugh at him for being so nua... From now on, i won't even jio him for runs. But he was kinda disappointed for not being the platoon best. According to his commanders, he was one of the 2 contenders for it. Just too bad... Just hope he goes to OCS as what he wants. Shall pray for him.

And I shall now gather all my army stuff for Kiaboon who is doing a module on dun know what. My uniform, badges, beret.... I got to dig for them. Wont be easy after ORD-ed for 5 years.
