Time not enough

Have been rather motivated to start doing well for work, relationships and self development... essentially to lead a better and more fulfilling life.

But time is always the problem. Always trying to squeeze too many time within that little amt of time you have is a challenge.

1) The want to do well at work. Project management is not always easy. THe middleman between suppliers and Users. It can be tough at times. But this is what makes working fun, the human side of work. Not forgetting that I was at one of the factory for the past 2 mornings trying to bridge the differences between the chief engineer and the warrant officer. And to let me gain more "awareness" (or should i say exposure), my boss volunteered me to be a secretary for a management meeting (actually I am the replacement for HZ when she quit last month). He said it's good for me because the Directors will be there and at least they will at least know me by name. What a way to load me with CCAs on top of my primary role.

2) The need to show people around me that I still care though I am quite tied up with work sometimes. To show them that I am not taking them for granted. Friends, family and loved ones.

3) The desire to learn and improve myself beyond work. Decided to sign up for a Masters programme. Application in the process and let's hope we can all make it past the application stage. The chance to relive school times... at least part of it since my course will be a part time one. The 2 years commitment. Never easy. Let's hope.

The song which runs...

The song which runs in me now....

Motivating me to fight as long as I can....

Being Overwhelmed

Have been thinking about life (in general) after the recent performance evaluation. Not that I got a bad performance rating since I am still a newbie (My ranking is default by nature for the first year).

Why do we have to let people judge how good or bad you are when the person who is judging you might not even be better than you? Talking about this, I guess a lot of parents would agree too. Being Branded as an EM3 student doesn't mean you are bad. Sometimes it's because you are "branded", therefore you behave in the way your "brand" should behave.

But life is not about work. We don't live our life to get scrutinised by people at work. Life encompasses just too many.

Imagine a daily routine which goes...

1) Wake up early in the morning at 6.30am.
2)Prepare to go to work.
3) Travel to work.
4) Arrive at office. Clearing the never ending emails, answering the constant calls from people you don't even know.
5) Lunch... Continue to do what you do in the morning.
6) Knock off.
7) Home. Dinner.
8) Zzzz...

Hoping for weekends to come where you go to the countable places in Singapore to watch movies, shopping etc.

The cycle runs for a year and you hope that your effort at work get appreciated during the performance apprasial day.

I definitely need something more than this. This is not going to be the way i live my life.

I run; therefore i am sane. I swim; therefore i feel peaceful. I travel; therefore i see. I listen; therefore i learn.

And I shall study; therefore I can grow. The next intake for further studies, I shall apply.

2 years of commitment and knowledge which will last a lifetime.

And to sidetrack, I only know about this spectacles cleaning thing when i was in japan... Interesting~
