The more I blog abt my cousin, the more i feel i am becoming like some middle aged man who always like to talk abt their kids... But this conversation I had with her was quite funnie... I think... hahaha

Along the way from my house to her house in the car... Apparently, she had this friend who is an evangelist...always talking to her abt God, abt christianity, abt salvation etc. So Mei was trying to strike a conversation with me who was concentrating on the road.

MeiMei: AH heng gor gor... You know what is christianity?
Me: Is it those kind where you go to church every week?
MeiMei: Yes! My friend told me onli those who believe in God will live eternally.
Me: eh... yah.. that's what Christians believe in.
MeiMei: You know who is God?

(Trying to loosen myself from the focus on the road, so decided to be a little crappy) For christians out there, pls dun feel offended.

Me: Of cos i Know who is God... He is your lao Peh..
MeiMei: No! He's not lao peh... Lao peh is not a good word.
Me: What's wrong with lao peh? Lao peh is father wat!
MeiMei: No! Not laopeh!
Me: Okay... You tell me... what does lao peh mean?
MeiMei: Father
Me: NEH! It's father wat... so God is laopeh rite?
MeiMei: ...... eh... ya..... But You cannot call God as laopeh. He will be angry...
Me: What's wrong with that? Lao Peh is father and Father is Lao peh... And laopeh is not a bad word! What would God be angry?
MeiMei: .... But he cannot understand what is laopeh!
Me: hmmm ya ah.. he is not hokkien hor? But You are hokkien ma.... So u can call him laopeh! You explain to him next time what does laopeh mean okie?
