做无的一天

ACtually, i have tons and tons of things to do but i really have no motivation to do them. I am just dragging and forcing myself to do them. 4th year syndrome?

那么多tutorial,越做越emo. 那么多projs, 越做越moody. 那么多uncertainties, 越想越头痛。jiayou ah... 还是去跑一下步比较好。。身体好,心情更好。

Went to Beatty Secondary school for an cultural exchange session with the secondary school kids regarding my cambodia trip.

These young punks are planning to go to Malaysia for a overseas Community Involvement programme this coming June holidays. As the teacher in charge used to be the President of Rotaract club, he invited us to go over to share our experiences with the kids.

Beatty Sec located at an isolated corner of Toa Payoh, just beside SPH. Frankly speaking, I was feeling kinda emo when I was on the road leading in to beatty sec. With the emo songs played over FM88.3, 更emo ah.. hahaha.. 成年往事,不值一提。

Nowadays, sec schools are so diff from what i used to have during my era. They have lockers. During my times, you can't even keep books under ur desk. They have cafes run by students. During my times, you only see aunties and uncles tending the stores. They talked to the teacher in charge who is a Maths and sci teacher in chinese and he replied them in chinese. During my times, teachers normally don't talk to you in chinese. Most surprisingly thing is the teacher spoke to them like the way we talk to friends. Students are really very different now.

I shared with the kids regarding the construction phases and showed them the pictures we have taken over at cambodia. And they really liked the videos we took over at cambodia. The videos showed the daily lives of the cambodians.

What impressed me most was the teacher's passion to teaching and sharing. He is so active in community involvement work, be it locally or not. His ties with his students are definitely beyond what a normal teacher-student relationship should be. But hearing so many complaints about being a teacher, i think the passion often get overshawdowed by admin and politics at work.

Took his contacts since he's going vietnam and thailand during the holidays. Maybe i can join.

wah liew eh... Must the sky be so dark now? How to run?
