3 July

4th day at work. Guess wat I am still at home! shuang. Going to see a display later at some location. Sometimes I really have the urge to share what i am doing at work with my friends but somethings are classified. Might as well i dun talk anything abt it in case i accidentally say everything out. Not that i dun trust my friends but... hai.. you know... must safeguard myself.

Frankly speaking, i am enjoying my work. It's very dynamic. I dun get to sit around for long hours. ALways have to be moving, meeting and talking to people. And I do things which people dun usually get the chance to do. Not bad.

And I should be training hard for the army half Marathon. We signed up. Wanted 10 km at first. But I also dun know what happened which inspired us to sign for 21km. I better get down to training.. i dun want to be the next one to die while running. It's so easy nowadays.

Okie... I shall get change for work..... CAbbing down... Can claim... shuang...

Medal of Honour??

As many of us would have known, one very big fish terrorist managed to escape from our detention centre months ago. Searches were mounted and till date , no news of his sight were even mentioned.

On 18th June, the calling from the nation came and 4th Company (23/01/2002 - 22/05/2004) from 1 C.D.O Bn were again assembled. They were fine men who made history in Commandos. The 1st Operational company to win the best Operational Company in the Best Combat Unit for 2 consecutive years. They won every single inter-company competition within the commando formation... soccer, basketball etc. U name it, they won it.

In the annual skills at arms competition where each company send in teams of commandos to pit their operational skills, individual fitness and team work against fellow commandos, 4th company sent in 3 teams. The 3 teams won the top 3 places.

In the annual Army Tactical Evaluation (ATEC), 4th company achieved the highest honour of RECON 1.
They were fine men. Indeed.

Though away from army for years, the mentality still persist. We can and we will.

They conducted searches, doing what the normal won't do. Making the impossible possible is their forte.

Mas watever Mat. He won't go away scot free. We will catch him one fine day though he might be now sun taning in Bintan.

Nevertheless, every men is awarded a medal for his courage. Fearless living.

Okie la. Enough of crapping. This medal is the Medal of Good service. hahaha... Not the customer service kinda good service but the good service towards the nation. Remember? U sleeping while i out there feeding the mosquitoes? ya. Good service.

The Commando Pride. Parachutist badge.

End of reservist. Till next year, shall the men of 4th company come together again. Brothers.

好累!

So tired protecting the nation. Sitting in the auditorium listening to the Captain crapping, going to other bases for familiarisation, settling stores... looking at the recruits and reminiscing our times back then. The tekans, the 5 mins precious phone call to ur loved ones, the 100 over men bath etc. hahaha... It's so tiring. Wearing that green really makes every min so tiring. I wonder why.

Reservist ending on the 28th... and i am starting work on the 30th. 2 days of break. How to rest?!?!

No company transport, no staff parking in the compound... can onli park at the HDB blocks outside. Can only take the train. But it's okie. I love to take the train. Dun know why. Just like to observe people. So interesting.

No camera phones allowed. So catching up with the latest phones is out of the picture for me! Outstanding.

No jeans and T shirts to work except on fri. Shirts and pants will be my uniform. I am forced to grow old.

No more tuitions. They forbid staff to give tuition. I dun understand why. I think i shall just carry on. I like to crap with the students. Money is a side issue.

But looking at the bright side... at least i am going to be financially independent? I will get laptop till i leave the company? i can go overseas? I am doing wat i like?

Yay. The start of a 8.30am to 6.30 pm routine for the next few decades of my life. How good can that be.... oh my.......

The mud on my face is soil... Our soil.....

13th June

Yay... I got offered! There goes my nuaing days. 人都是贱的... When they dun have, they want it. Once they have it, they wonder do they really need it. Not that I dun want to work but it's going to be for the rest of my life. No more MONTHS of holidays. The next real long holidays will be when i am 55 years old.. when i retire.

D-s-t-a interview was not bad. 2 interviewers. One (A) used to be full colonel from the army. Another one (B) is a engineering manager who served his NS in the commandos. No standard questions like "Tell me about yourself.. tell me your strengths and weaknesses" It's purely just chit chatting...

Interviewer B: So you from commandos? Is your company a strike company?
Me: (Wah.. he knows the term strike ah...strike means we are the commandos which whack installations... there are Some other roles commandos take..) "Yah i am from Strike."
Interviewer B: Tell you something. I also from commandos.
Me: Chey. No wonder you know all these details. I thought you know it because of your job nature with the army"
Interviewer B: Is the Warrent officer "so and so" still around?
Me: Yah! he is still there la. always blah blah blah......"

our conversation continued for another 5 mins. Apparently Interviewer A is getting bored.

so he tried to join in.

Interviewer A: Our dept also deals with combat engineers equipment... blahblah blah
Interviewer B: He used to be full colonel in Unit "so and so"
Me: Wah. Okie. (In army, full colonel is abit of god status liao. haha.. You MUST salute when u walk past one) I have a lot of friends from your unit and they are realli very fit.
Interviewer A: Of cos... HO ho ho... I chose them personally.

The rest of the interview then became an army talk. Not bad. hahaa. I am good in crapping.

As for St aero..

I think it's just a formality meeting with the Senior Vice president of Engineering. Another talk cock session. Apparently, my session started at 4.30. I can feel that he was just trying to finish me off fast and go home. Not even 15 mins and he asked me whether i have further qns. Not to let go of any chances. I whacked him with a lot of qns until the time read 5.10. I decided to stop asking cos i realli can see that he kept looking at the clock behind me. "Okie i have no more qns... and i hope to hear from you soon.. thanks for your time!" Suddenly i can see his face brighten up. hahaha...

A new chapter in my life and I shall start it good. Fearless living!
